School Holiday Break
We wish the whole of the PHES family a well-deserved break.
Budget overrun, bad weather, supply problems but on Monday the materials for the long-awaited Pikkewyntjies jungle gym were delivered to the school.
On Tuesday, 28 September, construction began.
It was a beautiful morning and at play time when the children poured through the gate onto their playground, they stopped short at the sight of two men they didn’t know busily building something out of wood. The bolder ones went forward to ask what they were doing but ‘jungle gym’ didn’t mean too much to them. Our children haven’t actually seen one.
By Tuesday afternoon it was beginning to take shape and but for the rain yesterday it would have been standing by the end of the workday, just needing the attachments and final touches today.
Nevertheless, the kids are beginning to see what’s coming and now it’s not just the adults who want to see the finished product, they can’t wait either.

The volunteer firefighters group of Pringle and Betty's Bay visited the Pikkewyntjies!
