School Holiday Break
We wish the whole of the PHES family a well-deserved break.
This classroom is Juffrou Zaan’s where the Pikkewyntjies spend their last two years before going to school. There were alterations done in December to the classroom and the kitchen by a very good friend of the school. The kitchen has always been open to the classroom but the appetising smell of lunch cooking was distracting the children, especially on Mondays.
The kitchen has now been incorporated into the classroom and the Babbelbekkies are enjoying having more space. It also makes life easier for Juffrou Zaan to have a little office now instead of working in a passage.
Unfortunately, it is taking a very long time for the plans for the new kitchen to be approved so Louise is cooking in the Community Hall at the moment. Everyone hopes she will soon be ‘home’ again.
There’s a new toy coming to the playground soon - watch this space. In the meantime, there’s plenty to play with especially since the installation of the new jungle gym.
In the classroom the Babbelbekkies are learning a new letter - the letter ‘S’. There was homework which was to find pictures of words that start with an S. The children enjoyed that assignment.
It’s safe to say they enjoy every assignment actually because - they do.
