At the end of the school year, groups of ex-Pikkewyntjies visit to show their reports and certificates to Zaan and the teachers.
As the usual end-of-school-year-functions could not be held in December, Juffrou Zaan and the staff organised a Fun Day at the school instead.
The Pikkewyntjies Second Hand Shop is very, very important to the school since the proceeds pay the salaries of two members of staff.

Pikkewyntjies / Penguinkidz Pre-School has a charity shop selling pre-loved goods at The Village Centre in Betty’s Bay.
They helped us once before with great kindness and generosity so we hesitated to ask again.
As the Premier keeps reminding us, we can’t relax our vigilance because the province seems to be on top of COVID and the little Pikkewyntjies don't live at school...

After the worst of the hunger crisis during lockdown was over, the school continued with food preparation for the children.
