Join Lesley Beake at the fabulous De Hoop Collection, near the end of Africa, for an enlightening, unique writing course.
This writing course offers some fresh, original ideas about how to get the words down, get them to dance to the right tune – and possibly get them published. It will cover the down to earth basics of good writing; writing for all ages, but particularly writing for young people.
Straight from the writer’s mind and from Lesley’s own, practical experience the course is filled with ideas and inspiration from her own writing and from the books by other writers that she has loved most. Not only will it teach you how to write well, what is required to be a writer and how to approach publishing but, hopefully, it will also make you smile.
The course will begin on Thursday evening 3 October 2019, with an informal introduction, and proceed for Friday 4 and Saturday 5 October 2019 with full days of workshops. Departure after breakfast on Sunday 6 October 2019. The price of the Writing Course, excluding accommodation and meals, is R2 500. Accommodation and meals from R2 685 in a De Hoop Village to R5 300 in an Opstal Suite per person sharing which includes 3 nights accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner (excluding drinks).
