Bay Tyers is a family-owned business that includes Andre and Erna Esterhuizen, and their son Stefan.

Don't be surprised if you find Erna elbow deep in grease busy changing tyres, fitting gaiters and fixing punctures when you visit the spacious workshop on the main road as you enter Gansbaai. 

The business has a strong pedigree dating back to Andre's dad, who was also in the tyre game. Andre was a district manager for India tyres for several years, after which he pioneered the concept of a mobile tyre shop. The husband and wife team then had a tyre fitment centre in Grabouw, but always loved holidays spent in Gansbaai and jumped at the opportunity to relocate to Gansbaai and open Bay Tyres. 

With over 50 years of hands-on experience, the Esterhuizens can be trusted to deliver quality service. Andre uses contacts made over the years to negotiate great prices too, which Bay Tyres, as an independent retailer, can pass on to customers without franchise mark-ups. Stefan specialises in tractor and truck tyres and is on standby for all your tyre-related after-hours emergencies.
