Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and come and relax at Duinefontein.

Duinefontein Game Reserve is situated along the R43 between Uilenkraalsmond and Pearly Beach in the Western Cape. We are only a 2 hour scenic drive from Cape Town along the famous Whale Watching Route, via Hermanus and Gansbaai.
At Duinefontein Game Reserve you can find the following game: Cape Eland, Kudu, Oryx, Burchell Zebra, Bushbuck, Impala, Black Wildebeest, Fallow Deer and Waterbuck. Smaller antelope such as Duiker, Grysbokkies can also be found on the reserve.
The reserve is situated in the Agulhas Limestone & Sand Fynbos Biome and have many proteas, sewejaartjies, ericas, etc to make it a bees and birds haven.
​We are blessed with the best of both worlds - we have the sea on one side and the picturesque mountains on the other side.

Fynbos Cottage and Melkboom Cottage

  Fynbos Cottage       

"A home away from home"

​Fynbos Cottage is tailor made for the bigger families. It is a fully equipped, self catering 

cottage where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature.

The open plan kitchen/lounge are make it easy to keep an eye on the young ones while you have to prepare the food. Separating the rooms from the lounge are is the indoor braai area where you can open the doors and have a uninterrupted view of your surroundings. 

Melkboom Cottage is ideal for a family of 6 - 14 people. Both our Aalwyn & Protea rooms have a Queen size bed, as well as a sleeper couch (single bed size) if you have a little one that still needs to sleep close by. In our Veld Rosie room you will find 3 x double bunker beds and 2 x 3/4 beds - were all the children can bunk together. All 3 rooms have their own bathroom with a toilet, basin and a shower. Bedding is included, but please bring your own towels.

Melkboom Cottage       

 "offers the perfect location for a relaxing family farm break-away"

   Melkboom Cottage is a charming, fully equipped, self catering cottage with a spectacular view of the farm and mountains. 

  There is an open plan living area with an inside braai and kitchen, outside braai and stoep with beautiful views of nature.
  For those hot summer evenings, you can sit outside at the fire pit, surrounded with Milkwood (Sideroxylon inerme) trees and the sound of nature. 
  Melkboom Cottage is ideal for a family of 4 with a queen size bed in one room, 2 x  single beds in the second room and a double sleeper couch in the   living area (for extra guests) and a spacious full bathroom with both shower and bath. Bedding is included, but please bring your own towels.
