The Great White Mountain Bike and Trail Run added a bit of perspiration to this great occasion which took place at the Lomond Wine Estate last Saturday, during the Easter weekend.
It was a challenging, family friendly event where competitors could discover and traverse picturesque routes between fynbos covered valleys just outside Gansbaai.
There was a route for everyone who wanted to be part of the fun and challenge.
Mountain bikers could opt for eiter the 55km, 35km or 15km routes, while runners had the opportunity to take a 30km, 12km or 5km trail run.
The more skilled participants found the longer routes technical and challenging, while families and the less experienced riders and runners preferred the shorter distances.
It was a race for serious as well as fun loving participants.
The finishing line at Lomond brought family and friends together for a lovely afternoon of picnicking and wine tasting on the banks of the Kraaiboschdam.
