The message was clear to all attendees of last week’s Cocktail Do at the tourism bureau which launched the planning and marketing for the 2017 Funky Fynbos Festival – spread the word!
It is up to every resident and business person in our area to use all platforms available to market this one event in Gansbaai which will have a direct impact on the success of our town’s businesses. Spokesperson, Dave Sawtelle urges all residents to start sharing information and dates regarding the festival.
Like last year, the mountain bike races, trail run and 4x4 route will attract hundreds of people.
This year Lomond Wine Farm will be the centre for cyclists, runners and anglers.
Races will be held over two day stages which encourage participants and their families to stay over and linger a little longer.
Caron Lee, the co-organiser says that the Funky Fynbos Festival gives business people and residents the opportunity to welcome and introduce this beautiful natural paradise to visitors, which we are privileged to call home.
Anyone who wants to come aboard with ideas, sponsorship or a helping hand can phone us.
