Hi, I’d like to introduce the team.
I’m Shirley, the “S” in M + S Designs: “Your Ideas = Our Creations”. I have been creating ever since I can remember and this has helped me to become the successful entrepreneurial designer, I am today.
I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and have lived in many towns, here and abroad.
I have a son of 25 and a daughter of 20, both of whom have flown the coop.
Gansbaai is my new home where I live with my new partner, Mark (yes, he’s the “M” in M + S Designs), and actually we were high school sweethearts.
If I’m not creating something, I’m dreaming of creating something and love collaborating with clients. Pop into the Studio, we'd love to meet with you.
Mark Collings - Founder, Workshop Manager, Woodwork Designer
Mark, is the “M” in M + S Designs and my life partner.
He loves working with his hands designing and creating new concepts. Mark designed and built laboratories, specialised filtration systems, sterile enclosures (yep the ones you see in the movies where they work with dangerous bugs), The Art of Creativity Studio, and many other projects.
He likes helping people wherever he can and is very involved in the community.
Mark has a son of 28 and a daughter of 16. She lives with us in Gansbaai, the home of the Marine Big 5.
Mark is your go to guy, dependable and reliable. What you see is what you get.
Danny Warren - Assistant
Danny joined our team in May and comes with many years of experience in the trade. Danny will assist us both at M+S Designs and at The Art of Creativity Studio. M+S Designs will out-source the installing of cupboards to Danny. Danny is married with 3 kids.
Eric Thando - General Assistant
Eric joined our team in April and is a dedicated, punctual and fast learner. Eric assists the Workshop team with everything and anything and is a great help. Eric is married with 4 kids.
