• Plants, Herbs or Succulents of your Choice
STEP 1: ASSEMBLE THE PLANTER
Now that we have everything we need, assemble your planter box as per the instructions included in the packaging or if you bought a ready assembled planter box you can attach the trellis.
STEP 2: ATTACH THE TRELLIS
Set the trellis inside the planter box, centered against the back, and use the power drill to attach it to the planter box with screws.

STEP 3: SAND THE PLANTER
Sand the planter box and trellis with fine-grit sandpaper in the direction of the wood grain. To speed up the sanding process you can use an oscillating multi-tool.
The oscillating multi-tool is one of the handiest tools you can have around your workshop. Its versatility allows you to accomplish numerous tasks that would be impossible with other tools. You can sand; saw metal, wood, and drywall; make large holes; plunge cut into hardwood; or undercut a doorway.
Definitely a tool worthy to put on your wish list.

STEP 4: PRIME YOUR PLANTER AND TRELLIS
When working with raw wood, it is best to use a good acrylic-based primer to prevent any tannins in the wood from bleeding through the paint.
Give your planter and trellis a good coat of primer and leave to dry.

STEP 5: PAINT YOUR PLANTER
Once the primer is dry, paint the planter box and trellis with exterior paint in the colour of your choice. We applied two coats of Duram Monarch pass paint in a matte finish, with an hour of drying time between coats.
TIP: IT’S NOT NECESSARY TO PAINT THE INSIDE OF THE PLANTER BOX SINCE IT WILL BE COVERED WITH SOIL AND PLANTS.

Lastly, attach your hanging plants to the trellis with the hooks and give them a good watering!
How easy was that! Now you can enjoy your living wall.
