Suitable for outdoor use - Sculpture could convert into plant containers, bird feeders fountains, etc. If desired with or without colour.
8 Lesson Courses Start 24 November 2020
1.) Quick “user-friendly“ work method. Course covers structure, anatomy, facial expression, distortion to express mood and emotion, by creating a number of small masks to explore these in the introductory lesson.
2.) Based on your first lesson experience you will feel more free to play and explore the medium of ceramic clay. I will assist everyone individually with the execution of your own ideas.
Classes will be limited to 5 persons per group.
Time Schedule
Morning Class: 09:30 to 12:30 - Introductory lesson at AREV - Then continue at Sea View Art Centre, Franskraal
Evening Class: 18:00 to 21:00 - Sea View Art Centre, Franskraal
Cost: R1600 per person
Includes: Use of studio materials, tuition and 15 kg of stoneware clay.
DEPOSIT TO SECURE BOOKING: 40% OF TOTAL FEE.
BALANCE TO BE PAID BEFORE ENTERING THE COURSE.

Detailed Description
After the essential introductory practice lesson, participants can draw inspiration from their own world, the History of Art, Turn favourite, 2D paintings into 3D, sculptures eg. Modigliani Chagall Picasso, Biblical figures, Ancient Greek and Roman Egyptian Etruscan. Or portraits people you know, imagine or wish they existed.
A variety of art books and visual materials will be available to look at or take notes.
Bring along your digital camera or smartphones- in case you find something interesting you would like to use, from some obscure magazine or old book which the Internet might have missed.
People who missed a class will be able to make up for that time at prearranged lessons. "Not applicable to the introductory class."
