The accomplished Duo Zappa-Mainolfi from Switzerland and Italy now look upon Hermanus and its people as family and music lovers in the Overstrand will thus be privileged as the Duo's 6th South African tour starts with a concert in Hermanus! The Duo is a close-knit chamber group with a strong personality, known for the careful choice of repertoire and program content of their concerts and they will wow the audience with the following program:  Sonata for Cello and Piano Op.119 (C-Major) by Sergey Prokofiev;  Rondo (concert piece) by Antonin Dvorak;  Arpeggione Sonata in A min by Franz Schubert and Pezzo Capriccioso Op. 62 by Peter Tchaikovsky.  It has been under the tutorship of Prof Zappia that local cellist, Tobias Kotzé, has been studying in Switzerland.  The concert will commence at 15h30 on Sunday, 14 February, in the Civic Auditorium in Hermanus.  Tickets are R120 (R60 for students).
