EXTENTION OF OBJECTION PERIOD FOR  VALUATION ROLL 2016/2017 – 2020/2021

Due  to the numerous requests received by the Overstrand Municipality, the municipality has resolved to extend the time period  in which objections must be submitted in terms of section 49 of the Local Government : Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act 6 of 2004).

The closing date on which objections must be submitted will now be 18 March 2016.

Every property owner in the Overstrand Municipality area is urged to make use of this opportunity to inspect the valuation roll at the under-mentioned offices of the municipality or on the municipal website (www.overstrand.gov.za) and object if there have been an omission or incorrect information captured in  the  roll  or the market value of the property is in your opinion incorrect.

BESWAARTYDPERK VIR WAARDASIEROL 2016/2017 – 2020/2021 WORD VERLENG

Overstrand Munisipaliteit het verskeie versoeke ontvang om ingevolge Artikel 49 van die Plaaslike Regering:  Munisipale Wet op Eiendomswaardering (Wet no.6 van 2004), die beswaartydperk vir waardasies te verleng.

Die beswaartydperk is nou verleng na 18 Maart 2016.

Elke eienaar van ‘n perseel in die Overstrand Munisipaliteit area word aangemoedig om die waardasierol  te inspekteer en ‘n beswaar in te dien ten opsigte van enige foutiewe inligting of markwaarde wat bespeur word.

Die nuwe waardasierol is beskikbaar vir inspeksie by die volgende munisipale kantore, asook op die munisipale webblad (www.overstrand.gov.za)
