Pre-paid electricity tariffs were used as base for the 2015/16 calculation. However, credit metering tariffs were erroneously used for the 2016/17 calculation.

This error will be addressed in the final budget report to Council in May.

The percentage increase for Middle Income range is 6%; 3,5% for Affordable Range and  1% for Indigent Households.

Electricity: Basic levy         17,5%

Electricity: Consumption  6%

Water: Basic Levy              6%

Water: Consumption        6,3%

Sanitation                           6%

Refuse removal                6%

Percentage increase       7%
