Join the Southern Cape Astronomy Club when they hold their montly stargazing evening near Pearly Beach this Saturday, 19th August from 19:00.
If you have even a passing interest in the subject you are welcome to join the group.
Targets for the evening will include the planets Jupiter and Saturn, as well as deepsky objects in the constellations Scorpius and Sagitarius.
Scopes will be turned to two of our nearest galaxies, the Large and Small Magellan Clouds with some of their nebulae and globular clusters.
Everyone is welcome.

Kos, his wife and 2 sons have recently relocated to Pearly Beach from Louis Trichardt where he was actively involved in running the Soutpansberg Astronomy Club.
Kos was the founding member and chairperson.
The club was established in 2002 and since then has been active in public and school outreach in Limpopo.
Kos plans to continue this in the Overstrand/Overberg region under the name Southern Cape Astronomy Club.
There is no entrance or membership fee charged.
Kos is also a member of the Astronomical Society of Southern Africa as well as their Observing and Outreach director.
