About

Sister Tertia Scholtz and Theunis Scholtz are the owners of Huis Immanuel.

Sister Tertia Scholtz

Sister Tertia qualified as a nursing sister in 1974 and has extensive knowledge and experience in just about every aspect of medical care. Her expansive career boasts an awe-inspiring timeline that spans over 4 decades. Sister Tertia has a deep passion for what others in the medical profession often find most daunting and is most content when dealing with life-threatening situations. This attribute came in handy when she worked in the emergency rooms and intensive care units of hospitals in Mossel Bay and Cape Town.

Tertia could very well be referred to as a modern-day Florence Nightingale due to her immense sense of duty to those in need of medical help and assistance. Her career history highlights include:

  • Jetting off to England in 2003 to head an advanced Alzheimer's home
  • Working as the school sister at a juvenile offender’s facility
  • Working at the Cheré Botha School, which was originally part of the Down’s Syndrome Association of the Western Cape
Theunis Scholtz

Theunis qualified as a Medic in 2010 and has been active in the field ever since. He focuses on Huis Immanuel’s emergency cases and prides himself on being an active responder.
