Marius Van Reeuwejk and Libet Smit took ownership of The Bistro in 2022.
Marius grew up in Natal and qualified as a chef in 2004. His most notable achievements in the hospitality industry include his time managing The Highlander in Clarence and Natures Haven in Koppies, Free State which he upgraded from coffee garden status to a four-star lodge within two years.
Both Marius and Libet have a passion for people and look forward to meeting new friends at The Bistro.
The Bistro has an à la carte menu that caters for meat-eaters and vegetarians.
The Bistro has a fully licensed bar stocked with carefully selected alcohol products intended to complement the menu. With this in mind, only liquor bought from the bar can be consumed on the premises.
The Bistro’s Cigar & Whiskey lounge is a cosy space where you can sit back and enjoy a little peace and tranquillity next to the fireplace.
The Bistro has a pizza take-away service for your convenience but all à la carte dishes are for sit-down orders only.
The Bistro is the perfect place in Gansbaai for small catered functions of up to 35 people.
