About

Wine & Company was established in 1998 and is the Overberg’s leading specialist wine boutique.

The shop is a wine lover’s paradise where you will receive professional yet personal assistance, as well as have the opportunity to indulge in a tasting experience like no other.

The Wine & Company’s owners, brothers Gary and Tjaart van der Walt, attribute their success to the relationships they have formed with boutique wine farms and happy clients, many who have become friends. 

Wine

The team at Wine & Company have travelled off the beaten track in search of limited edition wines from both well-known and small boutique wine brands.

Wine farms that don’t have a retail facility often use Wine & Company to exclusively retail their wines, so be prepared to find some pleasant surprises on the shelves.  As an added service to their clientele, Wine & Company will do their very best to source any wine that they don’t have in stock. 

Wine & Company offer door-to-door deliver both locally and internationally by arrangement. 

Wine Tasting

Gary and Tjaart van der Walt along with the Wine & Company team, invite you to join them for a unique wine tasting experience that is sure to tantalise your taste buds. 

• When: Every Friday between 15:00 and 18:00

Each week different wine estates are represented and attendees are privileged to taste some of the exclusive wines on offer while they gain an understanding of that specific vintage, or wine farm. Often this is the only chance to sample these bespoke wines which aren’t even made available for tasting at the actual cellar.

Wine & Company host you in the courtyard dining area where you are able to order delicious meals from CanD’s Kitchen, which shares the outdoor space. 

Functions

Wine & Company is the perfect venue for your next informal get-together. The team will arrange the delicious platters and the wine, all you need to do is sit back and enjoy a memorable tasting.

Trading times are in line with current COVID liquor protocols (Mondays to Thursday - 9:00 to 17:00 as of 1 June 2020). Payment is secure via PayFast and the checkout is easy and includes free delivery within the Hermanus area and for purchases over R1,500 in South Africa.
