KAWS was born in 2001 out of concern for the over-population of malnourished, mange-ridden and neglected dogs within the underprivileged community of Kleinmond, by local Kleinmond resident, Yvonne Pretorius. Together with the help of the municipality, concerned members of the community and various animal-loving professionals, KAWS has now celebrated almost 20 years of pro-active pet care.
KAWS follows strict guidelines in assessing the suitability of the proposed new home and future family. For more information on how you can adopt, foster or sponsor an animal in need contact KAWS directly.
