About

At Khomeesdrif Camping Site you can enjoy the smell of fynbos and the gentle sound of leaves rustling in the wind. 

The popular holiday destination got its name from a nearby crossing or 'drift' in the Riviersonderend River. Legend has it that the last people to cross the river here by horse carriage were Oom Fanie de Kock and his daughter, Miemie in 1904. The very next day, the new wooden bridge was opened, later followed by the current Bokrivier concrete bridge. 

Campsite

(200 people can be accommodated)

Khomeesdrif Camping Site has over 40 neatly cut grassed stands, most shaded by leafy trees. 

The campsite has no electricity but there are gas geysers and solar-powered lights in the ablution blocks.

Cottage 

(five people can be accommodated). 

Khomeesdrif Camping Site has a cute wooden self-catering cottage surrounded by the incredible natural beauty of hills and trees. The double-storey cottage has a patio which is the perfect point from where to view the surrounding nature and starlit night sky. 

The open-plan kitchen has a small table with chairs and the cosy living area has a sleeper couch.

There is a double bed in the first bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom.

The rooms share a bathroom that has a shower, basin and toilet.

Rates

Rates at the Khomeesdrif Camping site are as follows:

Camping Sites (maximum of six people per site)

• R400 per stand per night - up to four people 
• R100 per person for an additional two guests 

Self-Catering Cottage (maximum of five people)

• R780 for the cottage per night

Cancellation Policy

• The full deposit will be forfeited for cancellations between 15 December and 5 January
• No-shows will be charged the full accommodation amount
• Cancellations will not be refunded, but you can move the date and your deposit will be kept for future camping (valid for one year)
