After being away for a while to tend to my heart and my soul, it's such a wondrous thing to come back to this place on Earth. Having been steeped in prayer and intention for the last five weeks, it strikes me how that's exactly what Goodwill is - a prayer, an intention. A prayer for ourselves and the people around us to wake up, to be free, to live from the heart. An intention to create a place that supports this way of life, not just once in a while or in one way, but all of the time and in every way.
It looks different from time to time - sometimes we plant trees, grow food and build things and other times we dance, sing and meditate - and most of the time we're doing something in between. Once in a while we also shout at each other and make huge mistakes. But the underlying foundation of it all is our dedication to being of benefit and of service - to each other, to the land we steward and to the love in our hearts. That's where it all starts, and where it all ends. And the rest will come, slowly but surely.
