Walker Bay Gets Ready To Welcome Cruise Ship
.News that the first passenger cruise ship will be anchoring in Walker Bay just off the Hermanus coastline has been met with much anticipation.
Winter months in the Overberg are treasured due to breath-taking sunsets and exceptional Shark Cage Diving and Whale Watching as Walker Bay comes alive. Now that we’ve passed the crux of winter and the days are warming up, the festive folks in Gansbaai are getting ready to put on a feast.
The busy little village caught between mountains and the cliffs of Walker Bay is scattered with cosy little coffee shops where you enjoy the endless views over the deep blue ocean and watch the Southern Right Whales frolick in the shallows. The welcoming restaurants dish up a variety of delicious fresh seafood and traditional meals to suite all needs. The Foodie Meander will be a food experience like no other showcasing the best dishes made by 8 of Gansbaai’s top restaurants from locally produced ingredients. Each course will be enjoyed at a different restaurant and paired with its flavourful red, white or rose counterpart.
